Hillary Clinton was born in October 26, 1947, in Chicago (Illinois). She was the first child of Hugh Ellsworth Rodham and Dorothy Howell Rodham. Her father was a small business owner, running a textile business, and her mother was a homemaker who later took on various jobs to support the family.

Hillary spent her early years in the working-class neighborhood of Park Ridge, in Chicago. Her family was active in the local community, and Hillary’s upbringing was marked by the values of hard work and perseverance.
